Take a Look at Your Good Times | How to stay positive in tough time
Look at what you have left, don't look at what you have lost. Look at your good times - don't look at your bad times.
When I asked my friend, who is been very ill, how he was, ' Oh , I am terrific now , ' he answered. Six months ago he was in a very bad shape. We prayed together often on the telephone. ' You know Bob, he shared, " there was a time when I was so sick that I thought every day was a bad day and every hour was a totally bad hour.
Then one day I said to my wife, " Honey, I haven't had five good minutes today." "That's not true," she enthused, "you just don't remember the good minutes." And I thought to myself, "She may be right!"
The next day I went to the store and purchased a loose-leaf notebook, so I could start my own personal diary. My plan was that any time in the course of the day when I felt good I would write it down. For instance, right after breakfast I said, "The bacon tested good." That was a good experience so I wrote it down. At the end of the day, I looked at the good things that had happened. It really wasn't all bad after all! The next day I did the same thing. Now I have a very thick diary!' In the worst time a lot of good things can happen!
